About Theo

Theo works as a Senior Analyst for IHS Country Risk (formerly Exclusive Analysis) specialising in political and country risk in Sub-Saharan African markets with a key focus on the extractive industries — oil and gas and mining sectors  — as well as analysing the interactions between government macroeconomic policies and the business climate.

He has worked as a Graduate Researcher at the Aberdeen Centre for Research in Energy Economics and Finance (ACREEF), and as an analyst and co-author on the International Council on Oil and the Environment (ICOE) led research and publication project. 

Theo has a PhD in Economics and an MSc in Petroleum, Energy Economics and Finance from the University of Aberdeen, Scotland. He has a BSc in Chemical Engineering from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Ghana.
